About
Momo & The Coop was created in 2005 at Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon, by a group of students who wanted to sing. At the time, Lewis & Clark did not have any A Cappella groups. Momo grew, and now the group sells out 400-seat auditoriums for their end-of-semester concerts.
Momo & The Coop is a co-ed A Cappella group run democratically by its members. The group released its debut album “Self-Titled” in 2007, and their sophomore album, “Joh Eh Ba Dop,” in October 2009. Momo’s original arrangement and performance of the Wil.i.am song “Yes We Can” went viral on YouTube during the presidential race of 2008, and they received considerable attention for their original arrangement and performance of “Leaf House” by Animal Collective, a type of song that is rarely done by A Cappella groups.
Momo & The Coop continues to perform at Lewis & Clark and the surrounding Portland area.
